PLuS Alliance
The PLuS Alliance is an exciting collaboration between UNSW, King’s College London and Arizona State University. These three prestigious research institutions have joined forces to help find research-led solutions to some of the most pressing global challenges.
For the 20 UNSW researchers selected as inaugural PLuS Alliance Fellows, the international partnership opens up new avenues for research collaborations with the 40 Fellows selected from King’s College London and Arizona State University.
The scholars will work across the three universities, in the key areas of the Alliance’s efforts: global health, social justice, sustainability, and innovation and technology. Additional Fellows will be announced as the Alliance develops.
Under the sustainability theme, a Global River Basin Connections project is being developed to showcase the potential for the PLuS Alliance to create impact in a way that would not be possible for alliance members acting in isolation. This project embraces the multidimensionality of “Fresh Water” as a grand challenge and will explore the institutional, social and ecological dimensions of the problem.
GWI members selected as PLuS Alliance Fellows include: Professor Greg Leslie, Professor Richard Kingsford and Scientia Professor David Waite.
